Pineapple juice is useful for many things as I’ve mentioned. These are things Pineapple Juice is commonly used for.
- Helps to Cure Colds
Pineapple juice is quite useful when trying to cure a cold. It contains 100% vitamin C in a serving, compared to 120% for orange juice. The vitamin C from pineapple juice helps to build up your immune system to fight a cold. But that’s not all pineapple juice does to help a cold. It can help to soothe a sore throat, or prevent a cough. It may also help prevent nausea and help with the body aches commonly associated with a common cold.

Pineapple juice can be used to aid digestion or help with bowel movements as well. It contains a good amount of fiber (0.5 grams in an 8-ounce glass) so it will help digest food. People who have trouble digesting proteins will commonly drink pineapple juice after a meal involving a lot of protein due to the amazing effect it has on digestion.

Both your teeth and your bones contain something called hydroxyapate, which contains calcium. It just so happens that pineapple juice also contains a good amount of calcium as well, which leads to it helping strengthen your teeth and bones, much like milk
Bromelain
Pineapple juice is one of the few things in the world that contains Bromelain. Bromelain is a highly sought after enzyme, as it is an anti-inflammatory agent. Often times people will pay quite well for pills of Bromelain, however small amounts are found naturally in pineapple juice.

Pineapple juice, as I’ve said, is composed of many different kinds of nutrients. Here is what’s in 100 grams of pineapple juice (3.52 ounces)

- Calcium : 16 mg.

Processed or Fresh?
If you’re choosing between processed or fresh pineapple juice, you usually want to go with fresh juice. As you’re usually drinking pineapple juice for it’s rich nutrients, going with processed juice will contain much less nutrients than fresh juice.
We plan on adding new fresh juices on the truck and yes some will include pineapples.
